September 10, 2025: Karan Aujla, a Punjabi music star, reached a big milestone in his career when he made a special guest appearance on a recent episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The show aired on Tuesday, September 9, and there was a moment that went viral when Aujla taught host Jimmy Fallon some fun Bhangra moves.
Aujla, who was wearing a traditional black kurta-pyjama, offered to teach Fallon how to dance Bhangra in a video posted by the show’s official Instagram account.
At first, Fallon seemed unsure, but he immediately got into the rhythm and danced to the singer’s new smash song, “Gabru.” Many fans have shared the clip and praised Aujla for bringing a part of Punjabi culture to a worldwide scale. He is the second Punjabi musician to appear on the show, after Diljit Dosanjh.
Aujla’s first time on TV outside of the US was after the release of his third studio album, P-Pop Culture, on August 22, 2025. He says the album is his most personal work to date, and all 11 tracks have been big hits in India, Canada, and Pakistan. Aujla will perform in India for the first time during the Rolling Loud India festival in November 2025.
