Karan Johar Drops Selfie with Vicky Kaushal, Karan Aujla: “Tauba Tauba in the House”

As the makers of the upcoming film starring Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri released the song ‘Tauba Tauba’, Karan Johar shared a selfie with the actor and singer Karan Aujla on Instagram Stories. Captioning the photo with “Tauba Tauba in the house,” the trio posed for the camera, celebrating the launch of the peppy track unveiled on Tuesday.

Recently, Dharma Productions released the trailer of the film, which also stars Ammy Virk. The film takes a hilarious detour from typical rom-com tropes, delving into the chaotic world of heteropaternal superfecundation—a term describing a scenario where two men, one woman, and one child are entangled in an unexpected paternity situation. The trailer showcases Vicky Kaushal and Ammy Virk on different paths to fatherhood, with Triptii Dimri caught in the middle of the double paternity chaos.

The movie will also feature Neha Dhupia, as revealed in the trailer. The clip hints at a whirlwind of confusion, humorous misunderstandings, and strong chemistry between the lead trio. From hospital mix-ups to awkward family dinners, the trailer offers a laugh-a-minute preview. It also features a remix version of ‘Mere Mehboob Mere Sanam’ from the 1998 hit film ‘Duplicate’, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Sonali Bendre.

In the trailer, Vicky Kaushal’s character grapples with his new reality, while Ammy Virk brings his signature humor to the screen. Dimri plays the bewildered yet determined woman at the center of it all. ‘Bad Newz’ promises an emotional rollercoaster filled with rib-tickling humor.

Directed by Anand Tiwari, the film is seen as a successor to the 2019 hit ‘Good Newwz,’ which starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani, and Diljit Dosanjh. ‘Bad Newz’ is co-produced by Karan Johar, Hiroo Yash Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Amritpal Singh Bindra. The film is scripted by Ishita Moitra and Tarun Dudeja.

The film will hit theatres on July 19.
