Renowned director Karan Johar is set to host the prestigious 69th Filmfare Awards this evening in Gandhinagar, Gujarat. Arriving in style on Sunday, Karan turned heads on the red carpet with his elegant black suit adorned with golden details. He confidently posed for the photographers, complementing his outfit with statement glasses.
The night’s hosting duties will be shared between Karan, television personality Maniesh Paul, and actor Ayushmann Khurrana. As the ceremony unfolds, guests have begun to arrive in anticipation of the night’s celebrations.
Karan’s directorial venture, ‘Rocky aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,’ stands out with nominations in 18 categories, including Best Director, Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male), and Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female).
A special Curtain Raiser event took place on Saturday in Gandhinagar, graced by Karan and Janhvi Kapoor, among others. The Curtain Raiser for the 69th Filmfare Awards, hosted by Aparshakti Khurana and Karishma Tanna, set the stage for the main event.
Notable awards already presented include Best Choreography to Ganesh Acharya for ‘What Jhumka?’ from ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’, Best Editing for ’12th Fail’, and Best Special Effects (visual) and Best Action for SRK’s ‘Jawan’. ‘Animal’ won Best Background Score, and shared Best Sound Design with ‘Sam Bahadur’.
