In a heartfelt tribute to the late legendary singer Asha Bhosle, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions has announced a delay in the promotional rollout for their upcoming film, Chand Mera Dil.
The film’s title track, featuring lead actors Ananya Panday and Lakshya Lalwani, was originally set to debut on April 13. Out of respect for the “Queen of Indipop,” the production house has moved the release date to April 14, 2026.
The official statement from Dharma Productions emphasized that the decision was made to honor a legacy that has shaped generations of Indian music. Karan Johar also shared a personal note on social media, describing Asha Bhosle’s voice as a force that defined the cinematic universe. He expressed that while the world has lost a legend, her magic remains immortal through the thousands of songs she gifted to the industry.
Asha Bhosle passed away at the age of 92 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai due to multiple-organ failure. Her career, which spanned over seven decades, left an indelible mark on Indian cinema, earning her tributes from across the globe. As the industry mourns, the postponement of Chand Mera Dil’s music serves as a small but significant gesture of solemnity for a voice that will truly live on forever.
