Kareena Kapoor Named National Ambassador by UNICEF India, Advocates for Children’s Rights

Renowned Bollywood actor Kareena Kapoor Khan has been appointed as the National Ambassador for UNICEF India, marking a significant milestone in her ongoing commitment to social causes. Kareena, who has been associated with UNICEF India since 2014, has actively contributed to initiatives focused on girls’ education, gender equality, foundational learning, immunization, and breastfeeding.

During the appointment event, Kareena emphasized the importance of children’s rights, stressing that every child deserves fundamental necessities such as safety, education, health, and nutrition. She expressed her gratitude for being entrusted with the role of National Ambassador, acknowledging the immense responsibility that comes with it.

As a mother of two sons, Taimur and Jeh, Kareena highlighted the significance of providing children with a voice and ensuring they feel heard. She underscored the importance of nurturing their confidence, enabling them to dream big and innovate for a brighter future.

Kareena’s dedication to children’s welfare extends beyond her role as an actor. She emphasized the need to engage children in various activities such as sports, arts, and reading to foster their confidence and creativity.

In addition to her humanitarian endeavors, Kareena continues to make strides in her acting career. She recently starred in the successful film ‘Crew,’ portraying the journey of working women in the aviation industry alongside Kriti Sanon and Tabu. Upcoming projects include Hansal Mehta’s ‘The Buckingham Murders’ and Rohit Shetty’s ‘Singham Again,’ showcasing her versatility as an actor.
