June 13, 2025: Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor received support from close family and friends after the sudden demise of her ex-husband, industrialist Sunjay Kapur, who passed away on June 12 in England due to a heart attack at the age of 53.

Following the heartbreaking news, Karisma’s sister Kareena Kapoor and brother-in-law Saif Ali Khan visited her Mumbai residence. Close friends Malaika Arora, Amrita Arora, and Shakeel Ladak were also seen arriving to be by her side during the difficult time.

What Happened to Sunjay Kapur?
According to sources, Sunjay was playing a polo match at the Guards Polo Club in the UK when he felt discomfort and exited the game. He tragically suffered a heart attack shortly afterward. Unverified reports suggest he may have accidentally swallowed a bee during the game, causing a sting in his throat that triggered the fatal cardiac event.

Sunjay Kapur was married three times, with his second marriage to Karisma Kapoor in 2003. The couple had two children — daughter Samaira (born in 2005) and son Kiaan (born in 2011). They filed for divorce in 2014 and officially parted ways in 2016. After their separation, Sunjay married Priya Sachdev.
