A life of fame and being alone
Advani remembered how “heartbreaking” it was in 1982 when his wife, actress Dimple Kapadia, left him. She said that for thirty years, Khanna “lost everything” and was “stuck—no divorce, no resolution.” Kapadia did come back to take care of him during his last illness, but Advani said that by the time talks regarding his estate started, “Everything went absolutely out of control… But the family ended up with all of his things. That alone is a big story.

A fight in court and a warning about karma
Advani is still fighting in court for a part of Khanna’s estate. She said that a recent Supreme Court declaration makes it seem like an earlier decision against her “holds no weight.” She also said, “No one can take anything with them after they go.” Why cheat this way?
