Kartik Aaryan Drops Hints on Kiara Advani’s Return in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
October 15, 2024: Fans of the Bhool Bhulaiyaa franchise were treated to an unexpected surprise in the trailer for the upcoming third instalment. Not only did Madhuri Dixit make an appearance as a new version of the infamous Manjulika, but Vidya Balan also reprised her iconic role as the menacing witch from the original film. Now, in a recent interview with Pinkvilla, lead actor Kartik Aaryan hinted at another exciting twist that may unfold in the film’s climax.
Kartik’s Revelation
During the interview, Kartik was asked whether director Anees Bazmee had shot two alternate endings for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3—a rumour that had sparked curiosity among fans. Kartik confirmed this, saying, “Yes, we shot two climaxes to keep everyone guessing. In fact, when the script was given to the team, no one except for five of us had access to the last 15 pages. Not even the AD (Assistant Director) or production teams had the full script.”
However, Kartik may have accidentally revealed more than he intended. While talking about the filming process, he slipped up, saying, “When we were shooting with Kiara—oh, sorry—when we were shooting with Vidya ji… (laughs).” This sparked speculation that Kiara Advani, who was Kartik’s co-star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2, may make a surprise return in the third film’s climax.
Kartik, realizing his slip, quickly tried to redirect the conversation, teasing fans further by adding, “This isn’t live, right? We’ve shot two climaxes. That’s all I’d like to say. This is the first time I’ve had to conceal so much. But there’ll be plenty of surprises, and you’re going to enjoy the film when it comes out.”
About Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3
Kiara Advani starred alongside Kartik Aaryan in the previous installment, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 (2022), which was directed by Anees Bazmee and became a massive hit. While the first film featured Vidya Balan as the vengeful spirit Manjulika, the sequel saw Tabu stepping into that role. Now, in the third part, it seems that both Vidya and Madhuri Dixit will portray different versions of Manjulika, with Kartik returning as the beloved ghostbuster, Rooh Baba.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is set to hit cinemas on November 1, just in time for Diwali. Meanwhile, Kiara Advani is currently working on high-profile projects like War 2 and Don 3, continuing her streak of big-budget films.
