Speaking to The Indian Express, Kartik acknowledged that he has faced setbacks in his career, losing roles to star kids. Despite these challenges, the actor said he has come to terms with this aspect of Bollywood.

“I’ve also lost opportunities where I felt I should have gotten the role instead of someone from a film family,” Kartik admitted. The insider vs outsider debate highlights the perceived advantage enjoyed by actors from established film families over those who enter the industry without connections or mentors.

However, Kartik emphasized that he does not harbor resentment. “It’s not their fault. I’ve made my peace with it. If I had been born in that family, the same would have happened to me too,” he added, showcasing his pragmatic approach to the situation.

A Stellar Year for Kartik

2024 proved to be a significant year for Kartik Aaryan. Although Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion, where he played Paralympic champion Murlikant Petkar, underperformed at the box office, Kartik received widespread praise for his portrayal.

The actor bounced back with Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, a massive Diwali blockbuster that grossed nearly ₹400 crore, surpassing the collections of the multi-starrer Singham Again.

Looking ahead, Kartik is set to feature in Aashiqui 3, which was announced in 2023. While reports suggest that the project has been delayed, fans eagerly await updates on the romantic musical.
