According to insiders speaking to the Daily Mail, the couple had a fiery argument over Perry’s Blue Origin journey in April, with Bloom allegedly calling it “ridiculous,” “embarrassing,” and “cringeworthy” during a heated exchange.

“It hurt her feelings,” the source said. “Imagine going to space — motherf–king space — and your partner isn’t impressed.”

Despite previously showing public support before the launch, the Pirates of the Caribbean star’s dismissive comments left Perry blindsided. She had reportedly hoped for more encouragement from Bloom, especially given the magnitude of the journey alongside Lauren Sánchez, Gayle King, and other high-profile women astronauts.

What added fuel to the fire was Bloom’s insistence on attending the high-profile wedding of Sánchez and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos — the very people behind Perry’s space opportunity — without her. Katy is unable to attend due to her ongoing “Lifetimes” tour, and sources say she’s “finding it difficult to accept” Bloom’s decision to go solo.

“He complains about her going to space, and then wants to go to the wedding of the people who made it possible for her to do this,” the insider added.

While TMZ reported that Perry’s absence at the Italian wedding is due to “prior commitments,” insiders claim Bloom’s unwavering decision to attend has deepened the rift.

“It feels like a ‘f–k you’ to her,” said one source. “They’re really her friends more than his. And yet he’s the one going.”

💔 A Relationship On The Brink?

The couple, together since 2016 and engaged since 2019, have already faced delays in marriage plans, pandemic disruptions, and are raising their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove. But insiders suggest the space spat is just the latest chapter in a relationship slowly unraveling.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Perry was grappling with the flop of her latest album ‘143’, which allegedly added further strain.

“Katy was deeply frustrated following the reception of her new album. It made her very stressed,” People reported. “Orlando was understanding, but it did cause some tension.”

One source close to the couple now says bluntly, “It’s over. They are waiting ’til her tour is over before they split.”

Perry’s tour is set to wrap on December 7.
