Katy Perry Praises Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour After Past Feud

In an interview with Billboard, Perry shared how much she enjoyed reconnecting with Swift and being a part of the global phenomenon that was Swift’s tour.

“I actually went and did a show in Australia very quickly, and I had one day off before the show. I was like, ‘Hey girl, I’m gonna come to the show,'” Perry said. The emotional reunion was filled with excitement from both stars, and Perry described the fans in attendance as an “adorable, sweet community.” She even participated in the tour’s famous tradition of exchanging friendship bracelets, a gesture that was warmly embraced by Swift’s fans. “People gave me bracelets, and I think Rita Ora gave me a bracelet. I loved it. It’s just like a big community,” Perry reflected.

Perry’s admiration for Swift was evident as she shared a backstage photo of the two stars hugging. Perry also posted a selfie with Swift from the concert, expressing her love for the singer. “I love her so much,” Perry said during the interview.

The Eras Tour, which concluded in December 2024, grossed an astounding USD 2 billion and solidified Swift’s place as one of the biggest pop icons of the decade. She also dominated the 2024 Billboard Music Awards, taking home 10 awards, including Top Artist.

This reunion marks a significant moment in the ongoing reconciliation between Perry and Swift, who had a highly publicized feud in the past. Their bond began to heal in 2018, culminating in Perry’s cameo in Swift’s 2019 music video for You Need to Calm Down, where they appeared together in playful costumes.
