June 10, 2025: Katy Perry is facing more than just critical reviews—her latest album 143 has reportedly caused friction in her relationship with fiancé Orlando Bloom.

According to sources quoted by People, the pop star has been “deeply frustrated” by the underwhelming reception of her new album and some disappointing reviews from her Lifetimes tour. The stress, insiders claim, has led to “tension” between Perry and Bloom.

“Orlando was understanding,” one source said, “but it did cause some stress.”
Perry and Bloom, who began dating in 2016 and got engaged in 2019, have experienced their share of highs and lows. The couple postponed their wedding plans due to the COVID-19 pandemic but continue to co-parent their 4-year-old daughter, Daisy.
While the couple has stayed mostly private about their relationship, Perry made headlines with a bold comment on the Call Her Daddy podcast in 2024—revealing she rewards Bloom with oral sex when he helps with chores. Weeks later, the couple shared a steamy kiss onstage at the MTV VMAs, where Perry accepted the Video Vanguard Award.
Despite that public affection, Perry chose not to perform any tracks from 143 at the event. The 15-track album, released the same month, has received widespread criticism—mirrored by similar backlash over her tour choreography.
In response to the negativity, Perry took to Instagram in April to clap back at the “unhinged” trolls treating her like a “human piñata.” She wrote, “I’m on a human journey … sometimes I fall, but I get back up.”
Adding to the controversy, Perry’s recent appearance aboard the historic all-women Blue Origin spaceflight drew online mockery—especially after she revealed her tour setlist mid-flight.
Despite the turbulence, Perry continues to push forward, both musically and personally, while fans hope the couple can weather the storm.
