Keanu Reeves Joins ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’: Watch the Intense Trailer

The excitement for ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ has skyrocketed with the release of its highly anticipated first trailer, featuring Keanu Reeves as the franchise’s latest antagonist.

The trailer, now available on Paramount Pictures’ official YouTube channel and Instagram, introduces Reeves as the voice of Shadow, a character known for his dark and enigmatic persona. Shadow, who first appeared in the 2001 game ‘Sonic Adventure 2,’ serves as a formidable rival to Sonic.

The trailer offers a glimpse into the complex relationship between Sonic and Shadow. The narrator sets the stage by stating, “Shadow’s story began a lot like yours, Sonic, but where you found family and friends, Shadow found only pain and loss.” This intriguing dynamic between the two characters is set to bring a fresh and intense layer of conflict to the beloved series.

Paramount Pictures initially teased footage of ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 3’ at CinemaCon in April, giving fans an early look at the film’s plot. The new installment picks up where ‘Sonic the Hedgehog 2’ left off, with Dr. Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, in a state of despair. However, Robotnik finds new purpose in challenging Sonic by creating Shadow, adding a new twist to the storyline.
