Kesari 2 Box Office Day 10: Produced at 150 Cr., Akshay’s Film Rules 2nd Weekend, But Will It Recover Costs?
April 28, 2025: New Delhi —
Akshay Kumar’s Kesari Chapter 2 continued its dominant run at the box office, posting a solid second weekend and surpassing the ₹65 crore nett mark within 10 days of its release. It has surpassed Rs 100 crore worldwide.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari Chapter 2 collected ₹8.15 crore nett on its second Sunday (April 27), maintaining strong momentum with only a slight drop from its first Sunday earnings. The film wrapped up its first week with ₹46.1 crore, and the second weekend boost pushed its total earnings to ₹65.45 crore.
Here’s the day-wise breakup (nett collections):
Kesari 2 emerged as the clear winner over the weekend, outperforming other Bollywood releases like Sunny Deol’s Jaat, which collected approximately ₹4.15 crore nett in its third weekend, and Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero, which earned around ₹5.20 crore nett.
Co-starring Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, the film has been praised for its gripping story and patriotic theme, further amplified by strong word-of-mouth and celebrity endorsements on social media.
With minimal competition from newer releases, Kesari Chapter 2 is expected to maintain its momentum and accelerate its earnings over the coming week, solidifying its position as one of 2025’s major Bollywood successes.
