May 6, 2025: Kesari 2 Box Office Collection Day 18: Akshay Kumar’s Patriotic Legal Drama Nears ₹80 Crore Mark
Akshay Kumar and R Madhavan’s Kesari Chapter 2 continues to maintain a respectable presence at the box office, collecting ₹75 lakh on its 18th day, which marked the third Monday of its theatrical run. The film has now accumulated a total India net of ₹79.25 crore.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, the historical courtroom drama explores the legal aftermath of the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, focusing on C. Sankaran Nair’s bold legal fight against the British Crown.

Kesari 2 is currently battling it out at the box office with Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 and Sanjay Dutt’s The Bhootnii. Among these, the Akshay Kumar-led courtroom drama ranks as the second-best performer, trailing only Raid 2 and outperforming the horror-comedy on a day-to-day basis.
In addition to Akshay and R Madhavan, the film also stars Ananya Panday in a supporting role. The project is co-produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, and it has drawn appreciation for its unique take on pre-Independence resistance through the lens of justice.
