Kesari 2 Box Office Collection Day 5: Produced at a Reported Budget of 150 Crores, Akshay’s Film Sees Major Drop, Crosses ₹56.6 Cr Worldwide
April 23, 2025: On Day 5 (Tuesday), the film managed to collect only ₹4.75 crore, taking its total India net to ₹38.75 crore. While the movie has crossed ₹50 crore globally—standing at ₹56.6 crore worldwide—it is struggling to maintain traction during weekdays.
Although Kesari 2 is faring better than Akshay Kumar’s recent releases like Sarfira and Khel Khel Mein, it still lags behind Sky Force in overall performance. Mixed reviews and online criticism about historical liberties taken in the portrayal of events—particularly the aftermath of Jallianwala Bagh—may have contributed to its downward trend.
Directed by Karan Singh Tyagi, Kesari: Chapter 2 – The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh is produced by Dharma Productions, Leo Media Collective, and Cape of Good Films. Alongside Akshay Kumar, the film stars R Madhavan, Ananya Panday, Regina Cassandra, and Alexx O’Nell.

With strong competition at the box office and mid-week numbers falling into single digits, the film will now depend heavily on the second weekend for any significant rebound.
