Kesari 2 Box Office Day 9: Produced at ₹150 Cr. Akshay’s Film Sees Jump, Crosses ₹57 Crore in India, 83 Cr.Worldwide

Boosted by positive word-of-mouth and a BOGO offer, Kesari 2 witnesses a sharp surge in earnings, showing strong hold despite new releases.

April 27, 2025: Mumbai:
Akshay Kumar’s historical drama Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh saw a massive 72.84% jump in box office earnings on Day 9 (Saturday).
According to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film collected ₹7 crore on its second Saturday, taking its nine-day domestic net total to ₹57.15 crore.

The spike in collections is credited largely to the Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) offer initiated on Friday, which strengthened positive word-of-mouth across audiences.

  • Friday (Day 8): ₹4.05 crore
  • Saturday (Day 9): ₹7 crore
    (73% growth compared to Friday)

According to industry experts, Kesari 2 is on course to reach around ₹66 crore by the end of its second weekend, indicating only a 30–35% drop from its opening weekend — a solid hold amid competition.
