Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office Day 4: Akshay’s Flick Produced at ₹150 Crores, Sees 60% Drop on First Monday, Has Made Only So Much Till Date

Akshay Kumar’s ambitious courtroom drama Kesari: Chapter 2 is struggling to maintain momentum at the box office.

April 22, 2025 | After a modest weekend performance, the film witnessed a sharp 60% drop in collections on its first Monday, raising concerns about its long-term commercial prospects.

📉 Day 4 Collection – Just ₹4.59 Crore

According to industry tracker Sacnilk, Kesari Chapter 2 earned just ₹4.59 crore on Monday, down from ₹12.25 crore on Sunday. The film’s four-day total now stands at approximately ₹36 crore, making its road to the ₹50 crore mark difficult unless midweek collections see a turnaround.

🌍 Meanwhile, Sunny Deol’s Jaat Crosses ₹100 Crore Worldwide

Sunny Deol’s Jaat continues its strong run globally. The rural action drama entered the ₹100 crore worldwide club on its second Monday, even as its domestic net collections lag slightly behind. While Jaat may not dethrone Gadar 2 without a surprising surge in demand, its global milestone cements it as a moderate hit in a struggling season for Hindi films.

🎬 Sikandar Stagnates, Hopes Shift to Emraan Hashmi’s Ground Zero

Salman Khan’s Sikandar, which earlier crossed ₹100 crore, is showing minimal growth at the box office, struggling to hit ₹110 crore despite expectations. The film’s underwhelming performance has now shifted the industry’s hopes to Excel Entertainment’s next release, Ground Zero, starring Emraan Hashmi.

Slated for release on April 25, Ground Zero is being watched closely as a potential sleeper hit—especially after the unexpected success of Chhaava, which starred Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna.
