June 10, 2025: The patriotic courtroom drama Kesari Chapter 2, starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Panday, is reportedly set for its OTT debut on JioHotstar on June 13, 2025, according to a report. However, an official confirmation from the streaming platform is still awaited.

A spiritual sequel to the 2019 hit Kesari, this Karan Johar-backed film has garnered significant acclaim for its portrayal of C. Sankaran Nair’s legal battle against the British Empire following the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. Akshay Kumar stars as the fearless Nair, while R Madhavan portrays British lawyer Neville McKinley, and Ananya Panday plays Dilreet Gill, a key ally in the fight for justice.
The film, which earned ₹45 crore at the box office, made waves not only for its powerful performances but also for its bold narrative. During a press interaction, producer Karan Johar defended the inclusion of provocative language in the film, noting that it reflected the spirit of resistance embodied by Nair.
