Kesari Chapter 2 Teaser: Akshay Kumar Roars as Rebel Lawyer in Aftermath of Jallianwala Bagh Massacre
March 24, 2025: Kesari Chapter 2 Teaser: Akshay Kumar Fights the British with Words Sharper Than Swords
Akshay Kumar is back with fire in his eyes and rebellion in his voice in the powerful teaser of Kesari Chapter 2, released by Dharma Productions on Monday. In this explosive sequel, the actor sheds his soldier avatar from the original and dons the black robe of a fierce courtroom warrior, determined to hold the British accountable for the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
The teaser begins with haunting screams in the background—men, women, and children fleeing in panic as gunshots echo. It’s the blood-soaked reality of Jallianwala Bagh, where innocent lives were brutally ended. From that chaos, the teaser moves to the calm intensity of a courtroom, where Akshay Kumar’s character, a defiant Indian lawyer, confronts a British judge head-on.

In a spine-chilling moment, when the judge sneers, “Don’t forget you’re still a slave of the British Empire,” Akshay retorts with fire: “F** you.”* The courtroom falls silent, but fans? They’re already on their feet.
The internet has erupted with praise. “He’s not just acting; he’s living the role!” said one fan. Another gushed, “This is going to be even more intense than Chapter 1. Already seated for this one!”

Directed by Anurag Singh once again, Kesari Chapter 2 is all set to hit theatres on April 18, 2025. Joining Akshay in this historical courtroom epic are Ananya Panday and R Madhavan, both playing pivotal roles in the narrative.
Sharing the teaser on Instagram, Akshay wrote,
“He held his head high. He beat them at their game. He told them where to go. A genocide India must know about. A revolution painted in courage.”
The first Kesari (2019) chronicled the Battle of Saragarhi, where 21 Sikh soldiers fought valiantly against 10,000 Afghan invaders. In Chapter 2, the saga continues—not on the battlefield, but in the courtroom, as India’s fight for dignity and justice rages on.
On April 13, 1919, thousands gathered at Jallianwala Bagh to protest the arrest of nationalist leaders under the oppressive Rowlatt Act. In response, General Dyer ordered troops to open fire—without warning. Hundreds died, many injured. The tragedy became a turning point in India’s freedom struggle.
