The film, directed by Karan Johar, highlights the historical fight for justice following one of the darkest chapters in Indian history. Set against the backdrop of the tragic events of April 13, 1919, Kesari Chapter 2 takes audiences through the legal battle for the victims of the massacre, offering a fresh perspective on the incident that shaped India’s independence struggle.

In the courtroom, Akshay Kumar’s character challenges the British colonial regime, seeking justice for those who lost their lives in the massacre. The tension between Akshay and R Madhavan’s characters is palpable, marking one of the most significant battles in the film. Ananya Panday, playing a law student named Dilreet Gill, adds another layer to the gripping story.

Releasing on April 18, 2025, Kesari Chapter 2 follows the success of its predecessor, which focused on the 1897 Battle of Saragarhi, starring Parineeti Chopra. The trailer has sparked a wave of excitement, with audiences eagerly awaiting the film’s release.
