‘KGF’ Fame Yash to Start Shooting ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’

Yash, known for his stellar performance in ‘KGF’, is set to commence shooting for his upcoming film ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ on August 8 in Bengaluru. The announcement came through the film’s PR team, sparking excitement among fans and the film industry.

Temple Visits Ahead of Shoot

In preparation for the project, Yash recently visited several significant temples in Karnataka, including Shri Sadashiva Rudra Surya Temple, Shri Manjunatheshwara Temple in Dharmastala, and Kukke Subramanya Temple in Subramanya. These visits underscore the actor’s commitment and spiritual readiness as he embarks on this new cinematic journey.

Direction and Cast Speculations

Geetu Mohandas will direct ‘Toxic’. There has been considerable speculation about the cast, especially regarding the female lead. Tara Sutaria was rumored to play a significant role opposite Yash. However, Tara addressed these rumors in July with a cryptic Instagram post, stating, “Hello all! The articles released over the last few days about a project and I are false and not shared by me.” She assured fans that any future projects would be announced officially by her.

Announcement and Release Date

‘Toxic’ was initially announced in December 2023. Yash shared a post on Instagram quoting Rumi, “‘What you seek is seeking you’ – Rumi. A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups #TOXIC.” The film is scheduled for release on April 10, 2025, and is anticipated to be an action-packed narrative set against the backdrop of the drug mafia.

Rumors and Official Announcements

Kareena Kapoor Khan’s name also surfaced in rumors related to the film. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding her involvement or that of any other female cast members.

The anticipation for ‘Toxic’ continues to build as fans eagerly await official updates and the commencement of filming.
