"Khudaya Ishq" Song From 'Abir Gulaal': Fawad Khan and Vaani Kapoor's Magical Chemistry Stuns Fans, Take A Look!
April 114, 2025: Pakistani actor Fawad Khan is making his much-awaited return to Bollywood with Abir Gulaal, a romantic film in which he stars opposite Vaani Kapoor. The excitement surrounding his return has been palpable, especially after the release of the film’s love anthem, Khudaya Ishq, which was launched on Monday.
The song, sung by Arijit Singh and Shilpa Rao, has already captured the attention of listeners with its heartwarming melody. The music, composed by Amit Trivedi, perfectly complements the evocative lyrics written by Kumaar. Amit Trivedi expressed his satisfaction with the creative process, stating that the song was a beautiful synergy between the heartfelt words and the emotive voices of the singers. He hopes that Khudaya Ishq will resonate with the audience and stir their emotions.
Directed by Aarti S. Bagdi, Abir Gulaal tells the story of two individuals who form an unexpected emotional bond, leading to a journey of healing and blossoming love. The film’s teaser, which was released on April 1, showcases the chemistry between Fawad and Vaani as they share a tender moment in the rain, with playful dialogue that further ignites their growing connection.
The teaser ends with a heartwarming message, “Bringing love back,” hinting at the film’s central theme of love emerging as a natural and healing force. In one of the notable exchanges in the teaser, Vaani teases Fawad with the line, “Are you flirting with me?” to which Fawad, with his signature charm, replies, “Do you want me to?”
Fawad Khan’s return to Bollywood comes after a hiatus of nearly nine years following the controversy surrounding the ban on Pakistani artists in India after the 2016 Uri Attack. His last Bollywood appearance was in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016). Prior to that, Fawad became a household name in India with his performances in the hit Pakistani drama Zindagi Gulzar Hai (2012), and his Bollywood films Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor & Sons (2016).
Produced by Vivek B Agrawal, Avantika Hari, and Rakesh Sippy, Abir Gulaal explores the theme of love emerging unexpectedly as a consequence of emotional healing, making it a unique and touching romantic journey. Fans of Fawad Khan are eagerly awaiting the film, which promises to be a beautiful addition to his Bollywood legacy.
