Kim Kardashian Brother Rob Kardashian Breaks Silence On Why He Quit FAMILY Show

July 17, 2025: Kim Kardashian Brother Rob Kardashian has finally opened up about his decision to step away from the spotlight and exit the family’s high-profile reality TV empire. The 38-year-old, who was once a familiar face on Keeping Up With The Kardashians and its spinoffs, shared in a candid interview that his withdrawal had nothing to do with family drama but everything to do with prioritizing his mental and emotional well-being.

In a heartfelt conversation on Khloé Kardashian’s Khloé in Wonderland podcast, Rob explained that his retreat from reality television was a deeply personal choice. “It just has everything to do with myself,” he said. “There’s definitely nothing wrong between any of us… [I just don’t] wanna be filming and putting myself in a position where I’m not comfortable.”

Rob cited a longstanding discomfort with being on camera and a desire to avoid public vulnerability. “I’m not comfortable in my skin, so why would I wanna go be on camera and just be vulnerable and let people in? That’s not what I wanna do,” he said. “I choose my own happiness and peace [over] just filming for somebody who doesn’t do anything for me in my personal life.”

While Rob has largely remained out of the spotlight, only making a brief appearance in The Kardashians, he hasn’t completely ruled out a return. When Khloe asked if he would ever consider coming back, he responded with cautious optimism: “I love filming if it’s positive and if it’s natural, and I’m feeling good about myself… I like being around my family, so that stuff is good to me.”

Rob once co-starred in Rob & Chyna, a short-lived spinoff documenting his relationship with Blac Chyna, the mother of his daughter, Dream. Despite personal and legal challenges in recent years, Khloe Kardashian believes her brother may still return to reality TV in the future. “He talks about it a lot,” she said in a recent episode of The Kardashians. “He’s literally the best dad I know, and I’m so proud of him… I have faith that, soon, he’ll be back on the show.”

For now, Rob appears content with living life on his own terms — prioritizing privacy, fatherhood, and emotional well-being over fame and camera time.
