In Ryan Murphy’s next legal drama, Kim Kardashian, an American media personality, will play a divorce attorney.
According to US media outlet Variety, Hulu, which also televises the reality series “The Kardashians,” has committed to a series of the legal drama. In the show, Kim Kardashian will play a successful divorce attorney who runs an all-woman legal practise in Los Angeles.
The upcoming season of Murphy’s “Feud,” which centres on Truman Capote, will be written by showrunner Jon Robin Baitz in collaboration with Joseph Baken, who has written for the “AHS” spinoff “American Horror Stories.”
We’re still waiting on more project details.
In addition, Kim is currently filming a comedy called “The Fifth Wheel,” in which she plays the role of an outsider amongst four other women friends. Variety said that the movie ended up at Netflix in November following a fierce bidding war.
Murphy’s first new Disney project since signing a general contract with the company in June following the termination of his Netflix deal will be the Kardashian-led Hulu series.
With roles on E!’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and now Hulu’s “The Kardashians,” Kardashian has been a TV star for more than 15 years, but she has hardly ever dabbled in acting.
She has voice acting credits in animation and has appeared in cameos on sitcoms such as “Ocean’s 8,” “30 Rock,” “2 Broke Girls,” and “How I Met Your Mother.” However, she has a few small-scale acting credits: she starred in the parody comedy film “Disaster Movie” in 2008; she booked one episode of “CSI: NY” in 2009; and she made four appearances in “Drop Dead Diva” in 2012.
