King x Alan Walker: The Story Behind Their Blazing New Track ‘Story of a Bird’
May 19, 2025: After previously teaming up with global icons like Nick Jonas, KSHMR, and Jason Derulo, Indian music sensation King has now added another international feather to his cap — a powerful collaboration with Norwegian DJ Alan Walker. Their latest single, Story of a Bird, is already creating waves, and King is opening up about what made the experience so creatively fulfilling.

“The best part about collaborating with international artists is discovering new sonic territories,” King shared. “Someone like Alan brings a completely different musicality — it’s fun and challenging to weave in Indian melodies into those global soundscapes.”
While the two artists didn’t get to spend much time together in person, King says the collaboration still felt personal and organic. “It was one of the fastest projects I’ve ever worked on. Alan’s team was on it 24/7, and it took me just a day to finish writing my parts.”
King also revealed a lesser-known connection — he’s been a longtime fan of Alan Walker and even created a Faded refix back in 2018 that he’s still waiting to share with him. “Next time Alan is in India, I’m taking him around Delhi,” he added with a smile.
Looking ahead, King is hopeful for another team-up with the EDM giant. “It’s amazing to find a brother in an artist who inspires you,” he said.
King’s star continues to rise with past hits like Maan Meri Jaan, Tu Aake Dekh Le, Bumpa, and Legends. And with every cross-border collaboration, he’s proving that Indian pop music belongs on the global stage — one beat at a time.
