Kohrra 2 Review: Punjabi Grit Wins Again
Netflix thriller delivers layered suspense with authentic flavour
February 11, 2026: Netflix’s Kohrra returns with a gripping second season that builds on the strong Punjabi essence that made the first installment a hit. Spread across six tightly packed episodes, the new season revolves around a murder investigation that gradually uncovers hidden relationships, buried tensions and unexpected motives. Without giving away spoilers, the series keeps viewers hooked with its layered storytelling and immersive setting, making Punjab feel like a living, breathing character in the narrative.
What sets Kohrra Season 2 apart is its authenticity. The police characters are portrayed as real, flawed individuals rather than glorified heroes, and the natural use of Punjabi adds depth and credibility. The suspense remains the show’s biggest strength, with multiple twists ensuring you never quite predict what’s coming next. The pacing is sharp, making it an easy binge that leaves a lasting impact once it ends.
On the performance front, Mona Singh shines with a powerful portrayal of a cop balancing personal and professional turmoil, while Barun Sobti delivers a deeply nuanced act as a conflicted police officer. Rannvijay Singh, Pooja Bhamrra, Anurag Arora and Prateek Mehta also impress, each adding weight to the narrative. Backed by strong writing from Gunjit Chopra, Diggi Sisodia and Sudip Sharma, and assured direction by Sharma and Faisal Rahman, Kohrra Season 2 stands out as a must-watch thriller.
