Kriti Sanon gets emotional after sister Nupur’s wedding
Following the grand conclusion of Nupur Sanon and singer Stebin Ben’s wedding festivities, Kriti Sanon took to social media to share her raw emotions.
The actress admitted that the Sanon household feels strangely quiet and “empty” now that her younger sister has moved into her new home.
The couple celebrated their union with a three-day destination wedding in Udaipur (January 9–11, 2026), featuring both a serene Christian ceremony and a traditional Hindu wedding. The celebrations culminated in a star-studded reception in Mumbai on Tuesday, January 13, attended by the likes of Salman Khan, Disha Patani, and Mouni Roy.
Kriti shared a series of intimate photos from the ceremonies, including a touching moment where she fulfilled the traditionally male role of holding the phoolon ki chaadar during Nupur’s bridal entry.
“Words can never be enough to explain what I’m feeling.. still hasn’t sunk in… My little one is married,” Kriti wrote. “From holding you in my arms for the first time when I was 5, to now holding your chaadar and seeing you all dressed up as the prettiest bride I’ve ever seen.”
Kriti also shared a special welcome for her new brother-in-law, Stebin Ben, noting that he has been a part of their family for over five years. She expressed her joy in seeing them begin this new chapter, calling Stebin the “best life partner” they could have asked for Nupur.
The bride was quick to respond to the post, revealing the deep bond between the sisters. Nupur noted that while many doubted Kriti could carry the heavy phoolon ki chaadar alone, she knew her sister wouldn’t have it any other way.
“You’re my whole world Kritsu… my lifeline,” Nupur commented, jokingly adding that she still loves Kriti more than she loves her new husband, Stebin. Although Nupur is moving just 20 minutes away, the shift marks a major milestone for the close-knit Sanon family.
