Krushna Abhishek Ends 7-Year Rift with Govinda: ‘My Vanwas Is Over,’ Says the Comedian”

November 25, 2024: Govinda and his nephew, Krushna Abhishek, have finally ended their seven-year-long family feud. The once-strained relationship, which had been marked by public silence and unresolved issues, now seems to be heading toward reconciliation. The breakthrough moment came when Govinda appeared on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where the duo shared laughter, danced together, and relived happier times.

Speaking to Hindustan Times about the emotional reunion, Krushna said, “Maine stage par bhi bola ki mera saat saal ka vanwas khatam ho gaya. We are together now, and we danced and had so much fun.” The reunion was a heartwarming moment for fans, who had been rooting for the family to reconcile.

Krushna revealed that the healing process began after Govinda accidentally shot himself in the leg while handling his revolver. At the time of the incident, Krushna was in Sydney for a show. Though he considered canceling his commitments to return, it was his wife, Kashmera Shah, who first visited Govinda in the hospital and spoke to him in the ICU. According to Krushna, Govinda’s warm response to Kashmera during her visit gave him hope that their family ties could heal.

However, Krushna admitted that he has not yet met his mami, Sunita, who had reportedly been a major factor in the family rift. Despite this, he is optimistic, explaining that her approval of Govinda appearing on the show is a positive sign. “I think she is fine already, otherwise mama wouldn’t have come on the show. Mami manages his work commitments, and if she had a problem, she would’ve said no to the show or to me. But she didn’t. When mama came, we danced and had fun, so I’m sure mami is 50 percent fine now. I even apologized to her during the show because mama told me, ‘Mujhe nahi, mami ko sorry bolo,’” Krushna shared.

Adding to the lighter moments, a promo clip from the show went viral, featuring Govinda recounting a humorous interaction during his hospital stay. When Shilpa Shetty asked about Sunita’s whereabouts, she was told that Sunita was at a temple. Shilpa jokingly responded, “Toh goli kisne maari? (Then who shot you?)” The anecdote left the audience in splits.

The heartfelt reunion has brought joy not only to the family but also to fans who cherished seeing Govinda and Krushna together on stage. While there is still work to be done to mend all relationships fully, this public display of unity offers hope for better days ahead.
