Kuberaa OTT Release: Dhanush-Rashmika Starrer Will Debut on This Plaform
June 22, 2025: The Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna Akkineni starrer Kuberaa has made a thunderous start at the box office — and now it’s set to continue its reign on OTT. Directed by Sekhar Kammula, the pan-India social thriller released in five languages on June 20 and has already sparked excitement around its digital debut.
According to industry reports, Amazon Prime Video has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights of Kuberaa for a whopping ₹50 crore, marking one of the biggest OTT deals for a Dhanush-led film. The film is expected to begin streaming in the third week of July 2025, approximately a month after its theatrical release.
Kuberaa kicked off with a net collection of ₹14.75 crore on opening day, followed by ₹17.61 crore on Saturday, taking the two-day domestic total to ₹32.36 crore net. The Telugu version, in particular, has shown strong occupancy, driving the earnings across southern India.
According to the makers, the Day 1 worldwide gross stood at ₹30 crore, signaling a successful theatrical run before its digital release.
The film follows a gritty and unconventional narrative, featuring Dhanush in the role of a beggar entangled in a larger-than-life web of socio-political greed. It has received critical acclaim for its performances and emotional depth.
This major OTT acquisition solidifies Kuberaa’s success across platforms, making it one of 2025’s most talked-about digital premieres.
