February 27, 2025: The much-anticipated film Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, Rashmika Mandanna, and Jim Sarbh, has officially announced its release date. The gripping crime-thriller will hit theaters on June 20, 2025. Rashmika Mandanna shared the exciting update with her fans through her Instagram Stories, and it’s already stirring up much excitement.
Earlier, the filmmakers had teased audiences with a thrilling teaser and poster. The teaser offered a glimpse of intense action sequences, gripping visuals, and enigmatic characters. Dhanush, on Friday, also took to his X account to share the teaser, building more curiosity around the film's plot.

Rashmika’s character, depicted in her first look video, is seen walking through a jungle, holding an iron rod, before she digs out a suitcase filled with money. Her joyful reaction to the windfall hints at her character’s aspirations. Dhanush, meanwhile, surprises fans with his drastic transformation from his earlier poster, sporting a clean-shaven look, presenting a character that exudes wealth and power. Fans are eager to discover more about his role.
Additionally, in May, the film's makers revealed Nagarjuna Akkineni’s first look. The video shows the actor walking through pouring rain, surrounded by trucks full of currency notes, a scene that reinforces the film’s theme of wealth. The imagery of money is symbolic of the film's title, Kuberaa, which is named after the god of wealth.
The film is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under Sri Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations Pvt Ltd. Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula, Kuberaa promises to be a multi-dimensional social drama with strong performances from its talented ensemble cast. The music is composed by the renowned Devi Sri Prasad.
In this highly awaited film, Nagarjuna plays a pivotal, complex role, while Rashmika’s character is driven by a desire to break free from the constraints of her middle-class life. Jim Sarbh portrays a successful businessman, adding intrigue to the plot. The film will be released in both Tamil and Telugu, further broadening its appeal.
With a strong lineup and a compelling storyline, Kuberaa is already setting high expectations for its release next year.
