June 22, 2025: Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula and starring Dhanush, Nagarjuna, and Rashmika Mandanna, has struck gold at the global box office. Released last Friday to glowing reviews, the social drama has now crossed the coveted ₹100 crore worldwide gross within just five days of release.
On Wednesday, the makers shared the milestone via their official social media, unveiling a celebratory poster with the caption:
“Wealth. Wisdom. And now… ₹100+CR worth of WAVE. Kuberaa rules with a grand century at the box office.”
The poster declared the film a “Unanimous Mega Blockbuster.”
Dhanush, who received widespread acclaim for his powerful portrayal of Deva, a beggar with a transformative journey, also shared the news with fans on Instagram.
According to the latest update from Sacnilk, Kuberaa has raked in ₹63.69 crore in India alone as of 8 PM on Day 5.
About the Film
Set against the backdrop of Mumbai, Kuberaa follows the story of Deva (Dhanush), a beggar whose life takes a dramatic turn after meeting:
- Deepak (Nagarjuna) – a former CBI officer
- Neeraj (Jim Sarbh) – a corrupt CEO
- Sameera (Rashmika Mandanna) – a stranded woman with secrets of her own
Produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP and Amigos Creations, the film was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil, with Tamil dialogues penned by Agoram Panneerselvam.

At the film’s success meet in Hyderabad, megastar Chiranjeevi, who attended as the chief guest, had high praise for Dhanush.
He said, “No one could have portrayed the role of Deva with such perfection—not even myself. Dhanush truly deserves a National Award for this performance. If he doesn’t receive one, the awards lose their value.”
