Kunal Kemmu unveils release date of his directorial debut, shares first look poster: 'Madgaon Express'
At last, Kunal Kemmu set a release date for “Madgaon Express,” his feature film debut. The first glimpse of the movie was revealed by the producers today. The production company Excel Entertainment surprised fans on Instagram by sharing the poster and the news of the release. “Bachpan Ke Sapne… Lag gaye apne,” the movie’s slogan, not only sums up the whole story but also alludes to the insane world that awaits the general public.
Starring Divyenndu, Pratik Gandhi, and Avinash Tiwary—all three well-known for their memorable parts in “Mirzapur,” “Scam 1992,” and “Bambai Meri Jaan”—the ensemble is further enhanced by the engaging Nora Fatehi, as well as veteran actors Upendra Limaye and Chhaya Kadam. Under the Excel Entertainment brand, Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar are producing the movie. “Madgaon Express” is a comedy film that centers on three childhood friends who take an entirely erroneous journey to Goa. This is the dynamic trio’s first time working together on a serious comedy film. Khemu used an Instagram post to promote his directing debut in August 2022.
“Moriya Bappa Ganpati! There’s never been a better day to share this with all of you, since everything good starts with his name. It began as an idea in my thoughts, developed into a fantasy, and then spilled out of my fingers onto my laptop in the form of words. Now, it’s on its way to becoming a reality and hitting the big screen. I would want to express my gratitude to @ritesh_sid @faroutakhtar and @roo_cha at @excelmovies for supporting my vision and script and for joining me on this thrilling adventure into the world of film. I ask for all of your blessings as well as Ganpati Bappa’s blessings with my hands folded and my head bent. Presenting Madgaon Express,” he’d penned. Madgaon Express, which Kunal Kemmu wrote and directed, will open in theaters on March 22.
