May 27, 2025: Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and the star-studded cast of Housefull 5 unveiled the much-anticipated trailer of the comedy-drama at a grand event this week. The trailer, which promises a high-octane mix of laughter, mystery, and chaos aboard a luxury yacht, has already garnered massive buzz online. But it wasn’t just the trailer that caught attention — Akshay Kumar’s witty response to a personal question stole the show.

During the trailer launch, a journalist asked Akshay about the remuneration he received for Housefull 5. In his classic humorous style, Akshay quipped, “Agar maine paise liye honge toh tujhe kyun batau? Tu humara bhajita lagta hai jo tujhe batau? Maine paise liye, bahot ache khase liye.” The candid and cheeky remark left the audience in splits. He further added, “Film bani hai, bahot ache khase budget mein bani hai. Bahot maza aaya. Aaj khushi ka din hai. Kya raid daalna hai?”

The film’s trailer opens with Nana Patekar’s voiceover, introducing a billionaire celebrating his 100th birthday on a yacht. The celebration turns grim after his sudden death, and Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh become prime suspects. The twist? They’ve been drugged and remember nothing. Sanjay Dutt and Jackie Shroff enter the scene as investigators, adding to the madness.

Meanwhile, Akshay also addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding Hera Pheri 3 and Paresh Rawal’s exit from the franchise. When asked about the legal tiff and their relationship, Akshay said, “I’ve worked with him since the last 30 years. We are very good friends. He is a great actor. I really admire him. I don’t think this is a place where I am going to talk about it. It’s a serious matter and will be handled by the court.”

He also called out a journalist for referring to Paresh Rawal with an inappropriate term. “Using this kind of word for my co-star — like a foolish word — I would not appreciate it,” he stated firmly.

Earlier this year, Paresh Rawal’s legal team revealed details of the fallout, claiming he was asked to sign a term sheet for Hera Pheri 3 without a complete script or contract. Despite initial trust in Akshay and the producers, Rawal later pulled out due to the lack of clarity.

With Housefull 5 slated for release on June 6, fans can expect the return of vintage Akshay Kumar-style comedy, grand visuals, and the signature madness that defines the franchise.
