Kylie Jenner Declares “The Baddie Never Left” in New Interview, Talks Style, Hair Changes, and Her Signature Look
Kylie Jenner is making it clear: no matter how many times the world changes, her “baddie” status isn’t going anywhere!
In her cover story with Dazed magazine, published Friday, May 30, the 27-year-old beauty mogul and mom of two opened up about her style evolution — and firmly shut down speculation that she’s moved on from her iconic “baddie” aesthetic since becoming romantically linked with actor Timothée Chalamet.
“That’s so funny, I’ve seen that before too, and I’m always like, first of all, the baddie never left,” Jenner declared confidently. “I wear a latex dress at least once a week. Like, where do you guys think the baddie went? People saw me in a flowy dress once in my life, and they were like, ‘She’s gone!’ I wore a sundress once in Palm Springs, you know – like, can a girl wear a sundress once?”
This isn’t the first time Jenner has addressed her status as a style icon. The founder of Kylie Cosmetics first turned heads during her bold “King Kylie” era in 2016 — when she rocked dramatic makeup, blue hair extensions, and an arsenal of Cartier gold bracelets. When asked what this new chapter of her style would be called, Jenner responded with a grin:
“Oh, my goodness. This is the original baddie era.”
Jenner’s commentary follows her May 28 Harper’s Bazaar interview, where she shared why she loves to constantly change her hair — a signature move that’s become part of her identity since her teenage years.
“I think that I’m kind of a chameleon with my style,” Jenner said. “I love to play. I’ve been like that since I was 16. I changed my hair color like once a week and cut my hair off and then put a wig on or put extensions in; and I’ve always switched up my style. It’s just a part of who I am, and that definitely bleeds into Khy.”
In that same interview, Jenner revealed why she gravitated towards all-black dresses while attending awards shows to support Chalamet, 29, during his promotional tours and red carpet events, including the 2025 Oscars.
“I think a black dress is also kind of like, not too attention-grabbing in the best way,” she explained. “You can never go wrong with a black dress.”
Indeed, fans have seen Jenner in numerous striking black gowns while standing by Chalamet’s side. But that doesn’t mean she’s afraid to mix it up: just last Thursday, May 29, she and Chalamet turned heads at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where they watched the New York Knicks take on the Indiana Pacers. The couple coordinated their courtside style in complementary orange and blue jackets, proving that Jenner’s sense of playfulness and fashion versatility is still as vibrant as ever.
No matter the moment, Jenner insists on staying true to her fashion roots — and to her confident “baddie” persona.
“The baddie never left,” she says. And based on her fierce approach to style, there’s no doubt she’s here to stay.
