L2 Empuraan Crushes Good Bad Ugly at Box Office: Mohanlal's Blockbuster Leads by ₹25 Crore Worldwide
April 15, 2025: New Delhi – In a clash of two Southern cinema titans, L2 Empuraan starring Mohanlal has taken a commanding lead over Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly at the global box office. Both films made a splash during their opening weekends, but it was the Malayalam political thriller that emerged as the clear winner with a ₹25 crore edge.

Directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, L2 Empuraan stunned trade watchers with its ₹66.50 crore global debut on Day 1. The film maintained momentum throughout the weekend, collecting ₹34.50 crore on Day 2, ₹35.50 crore on Day 3, and ₹39 crore on Day 4. The film now boasts an impressive ₹175.50 crore worldwide gross in just four days.
Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly, helmed by Adhik Ravichandran, saw a respectable opening of ₹51 crore globally. It followed up with ₹27.50 crore on Day 2, ₹34.50 crore on Day 3, and ₹37 crore on Day 4, totaling ₹150 crore worldwide in its opening frame.
