The political action thriller has seen massive ticket sales and strong occupancy levels, setting it up as one of the biggest Malayalam openers of all time.
🔥 Roaring Start: 63.3% Occupancy, ₹10.52 Cr Till 4 PM
By 4 PM on Day 1, L2: Empuraan has already raked in ₹10.52 crore, with a morning occupancy of 63.3%. This is a massive jump compared to Mohanlal’s last release, Barroz, which had a 49.5% morning occupancy and earned ₹3.45 crore on its opening day.

🧾 Ticket Sales Soar on BookMyShow
The film witnessed 172,000 tickets sold on BookMyShow between 6 AM and 4 PM on March 27, averaging 17,000 tickets sold per hour. Just a day earlier, pre-sales stood at 58,000 during the same period, reflecting a 196% surge in ticket demand overnight.
