
L2: Empuraan Smashes Rs 100 Crore Worldwide in Just 2 Days, Say Makers

Mohanlal’s mass appeal and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s directorial vision have once again set the box office ablaze. The much-anticipated sequel to Lucifer, titled L2: Empuraan, has officially entered the coveted Rs 100-crore club within just 48 hours, as per the film’s producers Aashirvad Cinemas.
“Empuraan surpasses ₹100 crore at the box office worldwide in less than 48 hours, setting new benchmarks in cinematic history,” the production house posted on social media, thanking fans and supporters.
Despite mixed reviews from critics, the film’s stellar star power, high-octane visuals, and scale have drawn massive crowds across regions, particularly in Kerala and overseas markets.
Released on March 27, Empuraan is the second installment of the ambitious Lucifer trilogy. With Mohanlal reprising his role as Stephen Nedumpally, the film continues his enigmatic political underworld journey.
