As fate would have it, Laila is forced to marry another man, while Qais travels to London, heartbroken. The story explores the timeless themes of love, separation, and destiny, capturing the intense emotions of the two star-crossed lovers.
Filmmaker Imtiaz Ali, who is known for his deep connection with the film, took to Instagram to celebrate the re-release of Laila Majnu. He shared a series of photos along with a heartfelt note expressing his gratitude to the fans who made this re-release possible.
“Laila Majnu back on popular demand!!! Gratitude to your love that pulled it into theatres again after six years!! Re-releasing 9th Aug ’24 in cinemas nationwide,” Imtiaz wrote, celebrating the film’s resurgence.
