June 21, 2025 | Leonardo DiCaprio turned heads in East Harlem this week as he joined a high-powered dinner party at New York’s ultra-exclusive restaurant Rao’s, mingling with Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, entrepreneur Andrew Murstein, and several familiar faces from the world of film and politics.

The Wolf of Wall Street star was seen posing for dozens of photos and FaceTime calls with starstruck diners, displaying his trademark charm. The gathering, hosted by Murstein — a board member of the Hamptons International Film Festival — also included Leo’s co-star Bo Dietl, ABC Radio’s Sid Rosenberg, and DiCaprio’s father George DiCaprio with his wife.

According to sources at the scene, the dinner wasn’t just about celebrity camaraderie — there was also a big pitch in play.

🎬 “Hollywood East” on the Menu

Blakeman, Nassau County’s top executive, used the moment to promote his ongoing campaign to establish Long Island as ‘Hollywood East’, citing the massive $533 million economic impact of Grumman and Gold Coast Studios in Bethpage. “Lots of Wolf of Wall Street was shot in Nassau County,” a source reminded.

Another insider noted the surprising detail that Blakeman arrived with five security personnel — more than DiCaprio himself.

Blakeman’s connections to showbiz aren’t new. One attendee quipped, “His first wife, Nancy Shevell, is now married to Paul McCartney — but at Rao’s, it was all Sinatra on the jukebox.”

The vibe remained friendly and relaxed, despite the VIP-packed guest list. DiCaprio, known for keeping a relatively low profile despite his A-list status, seemed at ease — laughing, taking selfies, and reconnecting with longtime collaborators in the film world.
