Liam Payne Death: Amidst Arrest, Close Friend Denies Abandoning Singer in Hour Of Need
November 8, 2024: In a tragic twist, three individuals, including Liam Payne’s close friend, a hotel employee, and an alleged drug dealer, have been arrested and charged in connection with the One Direction star’s untimely death. The National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office in Argentina confirmed the arrests on Wednesday, further complicating the case surrounding Payne’s tragic fall from a Buenos Aires hotel balcony in October.

According to Argentine prosecutors, the British singer had consumed cocaine, alcohol, and a prescription antidepressant before his fatal fall. Though initial reports didn’t disclose the friend’s identity, British media later linked Argentinian businessman Rogelio ‘Roger’ Nores to the case.
In an exclusive interview, Nores firmly denied any accusations of abandoning Payne, claiming that he was with him multiple times that day and left only 40 minutes before the incident, with 15 people still in the hotel lobby with Payne.

Nores is now facing charges of “abandoning a person followed by death,” which could carry a sentence of 5 to 15 years if convicted. Despite the accusations, Nores maintains his innocence, explaining that he acted only as a close friend, not Payne’s manager, and denies any neglect or criminal responsibility in the hours before the singer’s passing.
