Lionel Messi Includes Kareena Kapoor, Her Kids In Special Post
Football icon Lionel Messi posted a special video montage capturing the highlights of his ‘GOAT India Tour 2025,’ which included a brief, yet significant, appearance by Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor and her sons, Taimur and Jeh.
December 17, 2025: After wrapping up his three-day, four-city GOAT India Tour 2025 on Monday, Lionel Messi took to his Instagram to share a heartfelt farewell message and a special montage video dedicated to his Indian fans. The tour, which included stops in Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and New Delhi, featured various fan engagements and celebrity meetings.
Sharing the video, the Argentine legend wrote:
“Namaste India! What incredible visits to Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad and Kolkata. Thanks for the warm welcome, great hospitality and all the expressions of love throughout my tour. I hope football has a bright future in India.”
The montage highlights included footage of his meeting with young children, clips of the electric atmosphere at the stadium events, and his interaction with cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar in Mumbai.
Notably, despite meeting numerous Bollywood stars during his trip—including Shah Rukh Khan and Ajay Devgn—Messi chose to include just a single, precious frame featuring actress Kareena Kapoor posing with her two sons, Taimur and Jeh. The meeting between the family and the football superstar took place during the Mumbai leg of the tour, which also saw Jeh Ali Khan’s hilarious refusal to leave Messi’s side go viral.
Kareena Kapoor was quick to spot her family’s cameo in the global icon’s video and shared her delight on her Instagram Stories:
“Ok Tim then this happened (heart emoji) for you (heart emoji),” she wrote, giving a sweet shout-out to her elder son Taimur.
Messi’s second visit to India—his first since 2011—was a whirlwind of events, though the Kolkata opening was marred by organizational chaos and crowd unrest. He concluded the tour in New Delhi with a short address at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, where he promised to return one day.
In his final address (delivered in Spanish), Messi said, “In fact, it was a truly beautiful experience for us to be able to share it… It was a crazy experience, everything they did for us these days. So, we carry all this love with us, and we will definitely return, hopefully one day to play a match or on another occasion, but we will definitely return to visit India. Thank you very much.”
