‘Little Brother’: John Cena, Eric Andre Team Up For New Comedy Film

December 5, 2024: John Cena and Eric Andre are set to reunite for Netflix’s upcoming comedic feature film Little Brother, a project currently in the early stages of development. The film, which is being written by Jarrad Paul and Andrew Mogel, promises to deliver a blend of slapstick humor and heartfelt moments, showcasing the unique chemistry between the two stars.

The plot of Little Brother revolves around a successful, tightly controlled real estate agent whose life is turned upside down when his eccentric and unpredictable “little brother” unexpectedly reappears. Cena and Andre will bring their comedic talents to the screen, with Cena portraying the more buttoned-up, controlled character and Andre playing the wild, chaotic younger sibling. This marks a significant reunion for the two actors, who previously collaborated on The Eric Andre Show, where Cena appeared in the memorable 2020 episode titled The ASAP Ferg Show.

Eric Andre shared the exciting news with his followers on Instagram, posting, “Reuniting at last,” signaling both his and Cena’s enthusiasm for the project.

Little Brother is being produced by David Bernad and Ruben Fleischer, and the film is expected to combine physical comedy with genuine emotional moments as the two stars navigate their contrasting personalities. This collaboration also represents an exciting return to the spotlight for both Cena and Andre, who are well-loved for their comedic chops in both television and film.

On a separate note, 2025 is shaping up to be an emotional year for wrestling fans, as John Cena prepares to retire from his WWE career. Cena, a 16-time WWE Champion—tied with Ric Flair for the most championship titles in history—has announced that his final wrestling appearance will take place at WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas. This will kick off his “Farewell Tour,” expected to span the entire year, giving fans the chance to say goodbye to one of the most iconic figures in professional wrestling.

The dual focus on Cena’s farewell from the wrestling world and his upcoming comedic film role in Little Brother makes for a pivotal year for the entertainment star, further cementing his legacy in both comedy and wrestling.
