‘Loveyapa’ Box Office Collection Day 6: Junaid Khan & Khushi Kapoor’s Rom-Com Inches Towards ₹7 Crore Mark

The film sees a dip in collections Struggles in its first week.

February 13, 2025: ‘Loveyapa’ Holds Ground as It Nears ₹7 Crore in First Week

Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa marked the big-screen debut of Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor and has been making slow progress at the box office. The film, which released on February 7, 2025, started with mixed reactions, but audiences were drawn to its relatable storyline and fresh humour.

Despite an underwhelming opening of ₹1.15 crore, Loveyapa gained traction over the weekend, earning:

  • ₹1.65 crore on Saturday
  • ₹1.75 crore on Sunday

However, the film saw a sharp decline from Monday, with collections dropping below ₹1 crore per day:

  • Monday: ₹0.55 crore
  • Tuesday: ₹0.55 crore
  • Wednesday: ₹0.60 crore (slight growth)

According to Sacnilk, the overall occupancy rate on Wednesday was 9.93%, reflecting a visible increase in footfall compared to Tuesday.

Audience Response & Future Prospects

As a remake of the Tamil hit ‘Love Today’ (2022), Loveyapa resonated well with young audiences, thanks to its modern romance, humor, and engaging screenplay. The film explores the Gen Z dating experience, with a couple forced to swap phones, revealing their deepest secrets and putting their relationship to the test.

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, the film could see a boost in collections in the coming days. However, with Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava hitting theaters on February 14, Loveyapa may face stiff competition at the box office.

Final Thoughts: Can ‘Loveyapa’ Cross the ₹10 Crore Mark?

While the film’s box office trend shows a downward slope, its relatability and Valentine’s week advantage could help it inch towards the ₹10 crore milestone. Will it sustain its momentum, or will the new releases overshadow its run?

Stay tuned for more updates on Loveyapa’s box office journey!
