February 15, 2025: Loveyapa Box Office Collection – Week 1 Report

Why Is Loveyapa Struggling at the Box Office?

  1. Lack of Star Power
    • While Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor come from Bollywood’s biggest families, they lack an established fanbase to pull audiences to theaters.
  2. Strong Competition
    • The release of Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava and Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World have overshadowed Loveyapa, making it difficult to attract viewers.
  3. Limited Word-of-Mouth
    • The film’s occupancy rate was just 8.53% on its first Thursday, indicating low audience interest.
  4. OTT Preference
    • Many viewers feel Loveyapa is better suited for a digital release rather than a theatrical run.

About Loveyapa

Directed by Advait Chandan, Loveyapa explores modern relationship challenges in a unique way. The story follows a young couple who exchange phones for a day before marriage, leading to unexpected revelations, chaos, and comedy.

The film also stars Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda, Grusha Kapoor, and Tanvika Parlikar in pivotal roles.

Will Loveyapa Pick Up in Week 2?

With its current trend, Loveyapa is unlikely to cross the ₹10 crore mark anytime soon unless it sees a miracle jump in weekend collections. If the downward trend continues, the film may wrap up its theatrical run soon and head for an OTT release.

Will Junaid Khan’s second film be able to make a bigger impact? Only time will tell!
