Industry and Audience Reception
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel described the film as “fun and engaging,” highlighting its appeal to Gen Z audiences. He praised Junaid Khan’s confident debut performance and Khushi Kapoor’s emotional depth, calling her the “true star” of the film.
The movie’s pre-release buzz was fueled by a star-studded screening attended by Bollywood heavyweights such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, and Aamir Khan. Celebrities like Karan Johar also lauded the film, calling it “the first successful love story of 2025.”
Competition and Future Outlook
Loveyapa faced stiff competition from other releases, including Badass Ravikumar, Sky Force, and Deva. Despite this, the film managed to outperform these titles, suggesting positive word-of-mouth could lead to a strong weekend collection.
With a week to shine before competing against major releases like Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World and Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava, the coming days will be crucial in determining Loveyapa’s box office trajectory.
