‘Loveyapa’ Struggles at Box Office, Collects Only ₹14 Lakhs on Day 10
February 18, 2025: ‘Loveyapa’ Box Office Collection Day 10: Fading Hopes for Junaid Khan & Khushi Kapoor’s Film
Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s romantic drama ‘Loveyapa’ continues to underperform at the box office. Despite receiving fairly positive reviews, the film has failed to translate critical appreciation into box office numbers. On its 10th day, the film collected only ₹14 lakhs, witnessing a 6% drop from the previous day’s earnings of ₹15 lakhs.

After ten days, ‘Loveyapa’ has earned a total of ₹6.99 crore in India, yet to breach the ₹7 crore mark—an underwhelming milestone for a film that was expected to perform decently.

Despite an intriguing premise and strong performances, ‘Loveyapa’ failed to attract audiences, primarily due to stiff competition from:
✔ Himesh Reshammiya’s ‘Badass Ravi Kumar’
✔ The re-release of ‘Sanam Teri Kasam’
✔ The box office juggernaut ‘Chhaava’, starring Vicky Kaushal, which has dominated ticket sales since its release
With these big releases overshadowing the film, ‘Loveyapa’ appears to be on the verge of ending its theatrical run much sooner than expected.
| Day | Box Office Collection |
|---|---|
| Day 1 | ₹80 lakh |
| Day 2 | ₹1.1 crore |
| Day 3 | ₹1.35 crore |
| Week 1 Total | ₹6 crore |
| Day 10 | ₹14 lakh |
| Total (India Net) | ₹6.99 crore |
With no major holiday boost in sight and poor advance bookings, the film may struggle to even cross ₹8 crore before exiting cinemas.
🎬 Directed by: Advait Chandan
🎭 Starring: Junaid Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana, Kiku Sharda
📖 Plot: A young couple decides to swap their phones for a day, leading to unexpected revelations and emotional chaos
Despite a fresh pairing and intriguing concept, ‘Loveyapa’ has failed to create any significant impact at the box office. While Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor’s performances have been appreciated, the film lacked the star power and strong marketing push to sustain itself against tougher competitors.
With its theatrical run nearing its end, the film’s only hope now lies in its OTT release, where it might find a second life among digital audiences.
