Ludacris Promises One More Fast & Furious But Is It Really the End?
June 29, 2025: Actor and rapper Ludacris has confirmed that he’ll return for one more Fast & Furious film — and it could be the franchise’s most iconic yet. Speaking to PEOPLE during a recent event in Los Angeles, the 47-year-old star teased big plans for the 25th anniversary of the blockbuster series.
“One more Fast and Furious because it’s the 25-year anniversary,” Ludacris (real name Christopher Bridges) said. “That whole 25-year anniversary is definitely a big deal.”
The original Fast & Furious film hit theaters in June 2001. Ludacris joined the franchise in 2003’s 2 Fast 2 Furious, playing Tej Parker. He last appeared in 2023’s Fast X, which grossed over $700 million globally.
While fans may expect the next film to be the final chapter, Ludacris offered a cryptic take: “A lot of other franchises, they may end, but they don’t really end… I don’t feel like it’ll ever truly end either.”
The next film, tentatively titled Fast X: Part 2, has been described by Vin Diesel as a tribute to the franchise’s legacy. Diesel previously shared, “This grand finale is not just an ending; it’s a celebration of the incredible family we’ve built together.”
No official release date has been announced yet, but the film is expected to arrive in 2026 — exactly 25 years after the franchise began.
