Maalik sold only 6,500 tickets across major national chains—PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis—by Thursday evening, just hours before release. With advance bookings opening on Wednesday afternoon, the low sales suggest a lack of audience traction and minimal hype.

Opening Day Predictions
Trade experts predict an opening day collection in the range of ₹2-4 crore, with some conservative estimates placing it below ₹2 crore. In comparison, Sunny Deol’s massy Jaat had opened at ₹9 crore, while Rajkummar’s own Bhool Chuk Maaf debuted at ₹7.2 crore.
