Madhuri Dixit Shares 1st Post After Toronto Fiasco, Fans Angry

Days after a disastrous Toronto event where she reportedly arrived three hours late and failed to perform, Madhuri Dixit’s post promoting a ‘meet and greet’ tour is now receiving heavy criticism from fans accusing her team of “false advertising.”

November 6, 2025: Bollywood icon Madhuri Dixit has stirred fresh controversy with her latest social media post, which attempts to move past the disastrous opening show of her international tour in Toronto last weekend. The actress, however, has chosen to promote her upcoming events without addressing the public outcry.

The Toronto Fiasco

On November 2, fans who rushed to The Theatre at Great Canadian Toronto were left disappointed. Social media was flooded with complaints alleging:

  • Three-Hour Delay: Madhuri arrived approximately three hours late to the venue.
  • Lack of Performance: Fans claimed they saw only a “lacklustre interview” and a few short dance videos, instead of the expected full concert advertised as a “series of unforgettable live shows.”

Following the intense backlash, the organizers, True Sound Live Ltd., issued an official statement, placing the blame squarely on the actress’s management: “Madhuri Dixit’s own management team misinformed her about the call time, resulting in her late arrival around 10 PM.”

Post-Controversy Post Draws Flak

Rather than offering an apology or explanation, Madhuri shared a poster promoting her upcoming US tour dates. The most significant shift noted by fans is the actor’s new promotion of the events as “Meet and Greets,” instead of “live shows” or “concerts.”

Madhuri Dixit’s Post: “Thank you Toronto for a lovely Meet and Greet and now looking forward to meeting my fans in New Jersey on 6th November. Boston on 7th November. Chicago on 8th November. Houston on 9th November. New York on 15th November. #Meet&Greet #usacanadatour.”

Netizens immediately pointed out the apparent shift in advertising:

  • Accusations of Misleading Fans: One user commented, “It’s unfortunate that you’re now stating it’s a meet and greet after your Toronto audience including myself spent our money without having the proper information… Transparency is an important thing.”
  • Demand for Apology: Another wrote, “But you owe Toronto an apology for fake advertising…your own post on your profile doesn’t call it a Meet and Greet. You say an evening of dance , music and celebrations.”

The next scheduled event in the tour is today, November 6, in New Jersey. Fans and media will be closely watching the format of the upcoming events to see if the controversy leads to clearer expectations for attendees.
